If this year has taught us anything it is that we can do virtually anything, right? By now, we have settled into Zoom meetings and working in new ways, but we still long for a new normal. Mike and I, along with Leslie and our steering committees, made the difficult decision to pivot to an all-virtual meeting this year. Although this is not what we would prefer, we know it is the right thing to do during what is still an uncertain time for meetings and events. However, our teams are going above and beyond to make this a great experience for attendees, members and sponsors.
Registration is open for the 2021 meeting, May 10-13, 2021. The steering committee has been hard at work in confirming speakers and content for sessions. We’re excited to offer meaningful content based on your feedback—content that is meeting this moment for the challenges we face. We are also grateful to our new and returning sponsors who have generously supported us this year. Check out the sessions and register for the meeting.
Also, don’t forget to renew your membership to PAMN. Our membership fees run July to June every year and those fees help us to operate on an annual basis outside of the conference. As a reminder, we are a non-profit, all-volunteer organization and dues help us to keep our website going, provide webinars throughout the year among some other small operational expenses. Remember, your dues are for your cancer center as a whole and not by individual, making it affordable for your center. If you have any questions about your membership or how to renew, reach out and we will get your questions answered!
Finally, check out the upcoming webinars we have planned. This is an opportunity for us to connect with each other throughout the year and not just at the conference. We’ve had some phenomenal topics and speakers this year! Check out and register for our Feb. 18th topic on diversity, equity and inclusion. We are always looking for speakers and topics, so reach out if you have a topic you’d like to hear more about or if you have a topic you feel comfortable in speaking on.
We are doing virtually everything to make our meeting meaningful this year! Looking forward to seeing you soon!
Warmly,
Erin McElwain
