Greetings friends and colleagues!
Happy New Year! Who is excited for the upcoming NACCDO-PAMN conference in Kansas City? Registration is open, and we are looking forward to seeing you. Please register on the website.
Here is what you can look forward to:
- Preconference Workshop—Building Empathy and Inclusion with Storytelling featuring Miri Rodriguez, VP and executive at Microsoft.
- Plenary sessions featuring National Cancer Institute director Dr. Ned Sharpless, New York Times bestselling author Candice Millard, and the popular director’s panel and closing session from Dr. Henry Ciolino, director of the National Cancer Institute Office of Cancer Centers.
- Numerous concurrent sessions and social think tank collaborative presentations.
I’m excited about the lineup our Steering Committee and PAMN members from the University of Kansas Cancer Center have put together.
We are also working on a new Benchmarking survey, which will allow us to compare cancer program budgets to our true peers. Thanks to a partnership between the Society for Health Care Strategy & Market Development and Endeavor, we are able to offer this survey at no cost to our membership. If John McKeever, Endeavor executive vice president, has reached out to you or if you would like to participate, please contact him for more information at jmckeever@endeavormgmt.com. The more programs and organizations that participate, the more helpful our data will be collectively.
I know it’s been another tough year for our hospitals and centers. Thanks for sticking with us. We look forward to brighter days ahead and hope to see you in Kansas City.
Cheers to 2022!
Warmly,
Erin McElwain
