What led you to work in cancer communications?

I’ve always had a strong interest in health care and the vital role it plays in people’s lives. I’m naturally curious and thrive in roles that challenge me to learn and grow, which is why this opportunity in cancer communications felt like the perfect fit. It combined my passion for social media storytelling with the chance to contribute to a meaningful cause.

What do you like most about working in the cancer field?

What I love most about working in the cancer field is the sense of purpose. Sharing stories of hope, highlighting breakthroughs and connecting people to life-changing care makes the work so meaningful. It’s rewarding to play even a small part in helping patients and their families through tough times.

What’s your best advice for someone new to the field?

My biggest advice would be to be patient with yourself and with the process. There’s a lot to learn, and the work can be emotionally heavy at times, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. Take your time to listen and always ask questions. I’m still learning every day.

How do you balance your career and family/personal life?

I try to set clear boundaries between my career and personal life, making sure I disconnect from work when I’m off the clock. I also focus on being present whether it’s with family, friends or taking time for myself.

Do you have a favorite line from a movie?

“…That might sound boring, but I think the boring stuff is the stuff I remember the most” ~Pixar’s Up

What was your best vacation?

My best vacation was a trip to Colorado, where I hiked to a stunning glacier. The experience was unforgettable, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the challenge of the hike.

If you could drink only one beverage for the rest of your life, what would it be?

One beverage I never get tired of is Vitamin Water blueberry pomegranate!

If you had to eat one meal, every day, for the rest of your life, what would it be?

If I had to choose one meal, it would definitely be the Olive Garden fettuccini alfredo, with extra breadsticks!

What is your biggest pet peeve?

My biggest pet peeve is passive listeners, when people don’t truly listen to others.

What is your hometown?

Marietta, Georgia
