Our thanks go out to all attendees of NACCDO-PAMN 2019 in Oklahoma City, hosted by Stephenson Cancer Center at The University of Oklahoma. We’ve received good feedback about the quality of the content and conference overall – momentum we’ll continue as we set our sights on 2020.
Next year’s conference will be at Niagara-on-the-Lake, in Ontario, Canada. Hosted by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, we’ll essentially take over the tourist destination, known for its wineries, shopping, historical lodging and more. Learn more about the annual meeting, and save the dates: May 18-21, 2020. Please note: you will need a valid passport.
Speaking of PAMN’s future, we’re happy to announce the election of five new Steering Committee members who will help shape not only the 2020 conference but the future of our organization. Please read about them here, and join me in welcoming their dedication and willingness to serve. They will build on the great work and dedication of these outgoing Steering Committee members, for whom we are very thankful:
- Kelly Cunha, Digital Strategy Manager, Moffitt Cancer Center.
- Kathleen McCool, former Employee Communications Manager and current Project Manager at Michigan Medicine,
- Jennifer Seggev, former Senior Director of Marketing, Fox Chase Cancer Center, and current Global Commercial Lead – Early Immuno-Oncology Portfolio, New Product Planning at EMD Serono Inc.
If you’re interested in running for election to the Steering Committee one day, a great way to gain experience and network is by volunteering on one of these subcommittees: Communications/Website, Conference Curriculum, Elections, Membership, Sponsorship and Webinars. If you have a particular interest or skill you’d like to put to greater use through PAMN, please let us know.
As always, we welcome your feedback, including suggested programming ideas for the annual conference and webinars. Email your thoughts and ideas to publicaffairsnetwork@gmail.com.
