We’re seeking candidates for twelve open seats on the PAMN steering committee.
If you’re committed to furthering your professional development and that of your fellow PAMN members, and to enhancing understanding of cancer research and care, we invite you to become a candidate for the upcoming term. It runs from July 1, 2023, to July 1, 2025.
Steering Committee members must have the full support of their respective cancer centers, as the institutions are expected to cover travel costs and time away from work. Please note: Each institution may have only one voting representative on the committee.
To retain their Steering Committee membership, members must attend the annual meeting and at least one other in-person meeting listed below. In-person attendance is highly encouraged. Our next upcoming meetings including (please note the July meeting of this year):
Annual conference planning meetings
- July 28 – 30, 2024 in Miami, FL
- Fall/winter 2024 mid-fiscal year meeting TBD. This meeting typically rotates annually between a visit to the National Cancer Institute in Washington, D.C., and another location, as decided by steering committee vote. Dates are usually late fall or early winter, depending upon location.
- July 2025 in TBD location
- Fall/winter 2025 meeting TBD
Annual conferences
- May 20-23, 2024 in Salt Lake City, UT
- May 19 – 22, 2025 in Miami, FL
- 2026 TBD
Additionally, Steering Committee members are expected to participate in ongoing efforts to plan and execute PAMN strategic projects, programming and other organizational needs. These efforts include monthly Steering Committee conference calls and regular subcommittee conference calls.
Rest assured, while the Steering Committee works hard, we also have a lot of fun!
